Lower blepharoplasty

Lower blepharoplasty is dedicated to the removal of pockets. There are 3 bags present at the lower eyelid. Thus, during the blepharoplasty operation, the bags are removed or reduced. Please note that this operation must be carried out from the inside.

This is the conjunctival route, which avoids any scarring, the risks of round eyes are avoided, there is no point to remove. Sometimes a few millimeters of skin are removed during pinch blepharoplasty.

• General recommendations on tobacco: It is preferable to stop smoking at least 1 month before the procedure, electronic cigarettes are authorized
• Signatures: Signature quote, informed consent, and systematic production of medical photographs. Payment of the intervention balance 15 days before.
• Makeup : Do not make up the operating area to carry out the pre-operative consultation and on the day of the operation
• The doctor, in collaboration with your family doctor or your cardiologist, may ask you to stop treatment 15 days before the procedure.

Recommendations for the upper eyelid

• Anesthesia: local. Do not fast. Light snack in the morning, unlimited water.
• As there is no general anesthesia, do not repeat blood tests, you can bring the old ones
• Makeup : Do not apply cream or makeup to the area to be operated on the day before the procedure from 18 p.m.
• Report any new processing in progress
• Report a current eye disease
• Medical visit:  1 consultation with the cosmetic surgeon
• Duration of the intervention: 30 to 45 min (2 upper eyelids)
• Return home after eyelid surgery: same day, outpatient hospitalization
• Glasses : Possibility to use straight out of the box
• Ophthalmic lenses: Remove before the procedure at home, replace with prescription glasses for 8 days

Recommendations for the lower eyelid

• Anesthesia: general. You must be fasting. Light snack the evening before then eat nothing more, water until 6 hours before. No coffee, no tea, no chewing gum
• Provide the blood test requested by the surgeon
• If requested by the surgeon, make an appointment with the anesthesiologist
• Makeup : Doesn't pose a problem
• Report any new processing in progress
• Report a current eye disease
• Medical visit:  1 consultation with the cosmetic surgeon

• Desocialization after upper blepharoplasty: 3 to 8 days, depending on the removal of threads and bruises (uncommon in our technique)
• Resumption of sport: 15 days
• Resumption of professional activities: Minimum 48 hours depending on the profession
• Time limit for assessing the result: 3 weeks

•  Special care : No scar, vitamin eye drops and disinfectant in the eye 3 times a day
• Removing the wires: no
